Stopped in to Kyoto for lunch today with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. This was our first time there, but we will definitely be back! Great prices on everything, (we were comparing it to Sumo restaurant in Ithaca) and Kyoto beats it hands down. Delicious seaweed salad (a huge portion), savory miso soup and yummy California rolls, all for under $20. In addition, the attentive and timely service makes this a definite go to for lunch!

It was fine. Would probably give 3 stars but sushi overall in the area seems to be nothing special, and this place was right on the level as that. Service was friendly and quick enough, so no complaints there. Inside was clean as well. There are hibachi tables set up, but we only had the sushi. Rolls seemed fairly priced for the area.

I've been coming here with my husband for years now, since they reopened under new management. As far as the ambiance goes, the restaurant is always clean and fresh. The staff is friendly, kind, welcoming, and I look forward to seeing them every time we go in! For those who need to know: the building is entirely step free and the bathroom has an accessible size stall. The front door is just a bit stiff/heavy. . Now to the fun part: the food. Ohhh my lord it's better and better every single time. As someone who has had sushi pretty much all over the country, high end, low end, mid... this is just the best ever. I'm so lucky to have them local to me. I'd rather eat here than Nobu! The salmon is absolutely to die for and the chef(s) never disappoint. If you're a miso soup lover like me, you'll be pleased to find their soup always tasty and full of wakame, tofu, and scallion. No watery broth with two flecks of tofu here! . I can't drink alcohol due to health, but friends I've gone with have ordered cocktail drinks and they enjoyed! My husband loves the hot sake as a treat now and then as well. I've never had the hibachi but I've also never seen one disappointed customer. Not ever. Thank you Kyoto for being my favorite place to eat!
